Anuj - Appreciate your response. Some more questions.

1. How to you integrate google maps with nokia maps ?
2. Have you tried getting directions in MGMaps (with the Yahoo India Map) ?

Will try Wayfinder myself, and yes the its certainly cheaper than nokia's license fee.

Mohit, there has been a drastic change in the mapping and navigation scene in India since i wrote this post. Yahoo Go 3 now takes data from yahoo India maps and is definitely improved( although not as good as MGMaps). Google has recently launched a new version of google maps for mobile which integrates better with Nokia Maps. And finally the nokia Maps 2.0 is out of beta and is a major improvement over the earlier versions. If you live in one of the cities covered by Nokia, then its the best option (you may find the license a bit expensive though). I personally am using Wayfinder navigator from mapmyindia these days as it gives better coverage of the country and the license is much cheaper than Nokia Maps.

Hi Anuj - Great post. I started using MGMaps after reading your blog.So what software would you recommend best for directions/navigation as you say MGMaps does not give the directions yet ? Have you played around with Nokia Maps 2.0 Beta (I haven't installed it yet so cannot say) ? Keep writing.

You are correct Gaurav but as I mentioned in the post, Yahoo Go doesn't use Yahoo India Maps in Yahoo Go and hence the map detail is..... what can I say? The post had screen shots showing Yahoo Go!!
